Plastic beehives are more durable than traditional wooden beehives because wooden beehives are easily affected by weather and rot, while plastic beehives are not affected by these effects and have a longer service life.

Compared with wooden beehives, plastic beehives are lighter and easier to handle and transport, especially for beginners.

Plastic beehives are easier to clean and disinfect than wooden beehives because plastic materials do not easily absorb bacteria and viruses, and are not susceptible to problems such as insect infestation.

This year, Benefitbee has designed a new plastic insulated beehive.

The shell is made of HDPE plastic and filled with insulating polyurethane, which not only keeps the beehive warm but also prevents the beehive from being eaten by birds or other animals.Beehives are made of HDPE and EPS materials. The density of EPS is 150g, which has the functions of heat preservation, moisture-proof and heat insulation.The contact surfaces of the upper and lower box are surrounded by hard plastic, which can increase the hardness of the beehive and make it easier for beekeepers to pry open it with hive tool.Each level has round plastic revolving entrance on the front and back. When heat preservation is needed, it can be closed with an EPS insulation cover.The entrance is symmetrical on both sides and has two bee passages and ventilation openings. The beekeeper can adjust the entrance as needed.
